Oral Hygiene

Noun phrase:

The practice of keeping your mouth clean and healthy to prevent oral diseases, maintain healthy teeth and gums, and prevent bad breath.

Just in case you don’t have enough appointments with your chemo, oncology/surgery appointments, blood tests, etc. you get to spend any spare time you might have at the dentist.  It really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Chemo can cause mouth ulcers, and have an effect on the health of your teeth and gums (another delightful side effect).  It’s a good idea to use mouthwash (also helps get rid of the rank metallic taste you’ll have in your mouth) and keep up to date with your dentist visits.

If nothing else, it makes a change someone fishing about in your mouth instead of prodding your boobs about.
